I also think that People know of Pac right now because of the Mayweather hype and his fight with Oscar. People will want to see who is Floyd gonna fight since a lot feel the winner will be his next opponent. Cotto is a top fighter and people want to see how his career goes. Pac is worldwide famous right now and that's enough to get people to notice.
I will go on the record right now:

Mark my words... "Firepower" does 810K- 865K PPV buys.

I have cut this thing a few different ways. Unless something fantabulous happens in the meantime, this fight will do roughly the same - or a little less - than Hatton/Pacquiao.

    This fight will do 838K.

800k is pushing it Al. I like Pacquiao but this fight will do 600k because nobody but hardcore fans or PRicans know Miguel Cotto and you know it takes two.

Marquez-Mayweather was everywhere. WWE, *******, Fox5, Noticiero 47(famous Mexican news outlet), Times Square posters, etc.

While Bob Arum/Top Rank are doing a poor, poor, poor job to promote this very good fight. I don't see it anywhere, no posters, commercials on other channels, nothing.

You travel alot, I do also. I'm not seeing alot of Cotto vs. Pacquiao hype and I live in the Bronx, I'm surrounded by Puerto Ricans and I'm not seeing the hype. I've seen way more Mayweather vs. Marquez posters. Anyway, I change my mind on how much Cotto vs. Pacquiao will do. I honestly believe that it will do as much/ or more then Numero Uno. The fact that this is seen as a competitive match up does make a difference, I do believe that.

You know Mr. Al Haymon, it should. It honestly should. But I know it won't. A PR and Filipino in the US fighting. That's like the sad **** that was with Cotto and Margarito. An awesome fight that you wish everyone saw, but they miss out on. Then you get crap that is overhyped(anything with Floyd involved), and it put's people to sleep making them say, "damn why did I get conned into this crap? That's why I prefer MMA better." It's the sad world of boxing. The fighters that deserve the attention don't get it. And the ones that don't, get too much of it.

LoL, if the Ph. had to pay to view the fight, it would outsell any fight in HISTORY and probably nothing could even compete with it in the future. That's how big Manny is over there. An ENTIRE country would buy that ****.

Top Rank is doing a poor job of reaching casual fans. Oh well
