The sanctioning bodies are parasites for sure, but there is actually an upper cap on the fees once they reach a certain point.

Although in fairness I think Tank will be #1 with Shakur only having 2 135 fights & Tank having beaten better opposition there thus far.
I agree , at least he fought for the title

Agreed, I can totally understand why someone of his stature would win titles and then vacate

Always respected Tank for his skills n personality in and out of the ring. Telling the WBA where to put their belt comes as no surprise. Kudos to Tank !!!!

Of course he doesn't. He might be forced to fight someone other than a cherry pick. That's why he's been collecting secondary trinkets. Gets to pretend he's a real champion but without the obligations that come with being a real champion, and fools still eat that up and pretend he's a multiple divisional champ. He's not. He's only ever won real titles at 130. No other organization will unify with a secondary titlist either. So he can pretend that he's being ducked, but reality is that he's a jumped up contender with delusions of grandeur. It's a shame because he's got the talent to be more. But hey, he's making bank feasting his whole career on weaker opponents. Good business, just terrible for boxing.
