why take something that might force u to do something instead of just doing what u want all the time, much better that way, the wba want to elevate tank, but tank is already way above them, so how does that one work i wonder

This. Well said. When you have a name, you just don’t NEED a title. It’s better if fighters don’t adopt this mindset though as I long for the days when champions took on the up and coming contenders. Nowadays these strange (new and ethnic only) fans push the “who has he fought” narrative supporting their favourite fighters in ducking promising contenders

he defnitely does not want to do that. according to tank he already is a champ at 135. its in all the propaganda marketing they release, they say tank davis 3 weight world champion. i dont think he wants any attention drawn to the fact that he was just an interim champion who won his interim belt by beating a 50 year old gamboa. if he wanted to win legit belts he would have fought legit figthers but he hasnt and he isnt and its clearly on purpose. teeny tiny men and drained men. thats the ticket for tank. call yourself the champ and make it seem like you are the best without earning it, thats the strategy and for the casuals and biased fanboys it works, if you look at his resume you just burst out laughing at taht claiimLast edited by daggum; 12-02-2023, 12:30 PM.Comment

Hard to disagree with this. These belt groups are corrupt as fook to start with so I love seeing them losing power & influence w/fans.
And when you got a name you no longer need a belt to sell yourself.
Personally I'd like to see guys like Tank drop any & all belts they got & just keep it moving as they already are.Comment

Everyone except Devin is a bs belt holder at 135. And with Devin giving up his belts I'd argue no one is The Man right now & its highly debatable who's #1 when Devin is officially gone with the Regis 140 fight happening. Although in fairness I think Tank will be #1 with Shakur only having 2 135 fights & Tank having beaten better opposition there thus far.Comment
