Canelo’s not Andrade, but Benavidez isn’t Bivol either. Would be a good fight if it happens.

Regardless I do think it happens next year but probably not until September.
Yeah, agree with you on Benavidez but I'd rather Canelo fight him in May or else Benavidez might have trouble making weight again.

Canelo likes fighting guys who he knows that he can beat. Stylistically this would be a very difficult fight for Canelo. Benavidez would push Canelo back and force him to fight on the backfoot all night. For Canelo to win, he would have to hurt Benavidez, throw lots of punches and move around a lot in the ring and box more. I think he can hurt Benavidez but Benavidez can also hurt him too. Canelo won't throw lots of punches and he won't be moving around in the ring much because he is a flat footed fighter. I highly doubt that Canelo will be fighting David Benavidez in May or September. Canelo is the shot caller and biggest money maker in boxing so he can do and fight whoever he wants to at this point.

Disagree with that, I think if Canelo sees the final bell he wins.

Bivol systematically racked up rounds against Canelo, and even then was barely able to escape with a decision. Benavidez won't be able to pile up rounds like Bivol did (nee should have been given credit for), so he's already in a state of needing a KO to get the W.

Cinco de mayo is literally the perfect date for this undisputed clash. Add Charlo vs Plant on the co-feature to makes things even more interesting.
Wonder which network PBC will go to by then to broadcast such huge event.

No wonder Ginger is afraid of fighting David Benavidez. Just take a good look at his fight with the undefeated Demetrius Andrade. Canelo won't fight or come nowhere near him now after last night's performance because he's afraid of getting his ass whooped. Canelo has been ducking the Mexican Monster for the past five years.

Canelo will fight Jermall, then Bud, then retire. He may get his ass whooped by Bivol again. Canelo will NEVER face Benavidez. Canelo has 0 advantages vs. Benavidez, and he has never won a fight in that scenario in his career.

Not entirely sure what all the speculation is about. Canelo vs Benavidez is probably the biggest fight that can be made in boxing right now and PBC are looking for a new broadcast deal. I wonder what fight they’re going to use to negotiate that with?? It’ll happen and it’ll happen next.

It’s now or never for Canelo who has already left it too long unlike Floyd did with him. It’s the biggest fight left for him and he’s probably only got a couple left now he’s clearly on the slide.
