Such an impressive performance from David is now going to build tremendous pressure on Canelo to the point where he cannot escape him without looking like a pure coward. Will be very interesting how things play out. I still don't think he fights him.

It’s now or never for Canelo who has already left it too long unlike Floyd did with him. It’s the biggest fight left for him and he’s probably only got a couple left now he’s clearly on the slide.
I don't think Canelo will fight Benavidez, he doesn't have the balls. Which I think is ******, because like someone else here, I think Canelo beats him. Or at least he would have before he began to slide. Now it's a much more interesting fight. I ...think, Canelo still has the style, chin, power, and enough street tachos to do it, just. But it's much closer than a few years ago. But your comment is **** on; It's now or never for Canelo because the longer he leaves it the more Benavidez becomes the favorite.

Not sure I agree. PBC and Canelo have a 3 fight deal after which realistically Canelo is done. His heart’s not in it now which has been evident for last few fights. I think Benavidez was always going to be the last fight in the three assuming he didn’t loose.

Al Haymon is going to want those belts in PBC hands at the end of those 3. He was always going to stick the fighter with the best chance of beating him last and that’s Benavidez. Wouldn’t be at all surprised if that wasn’t discussed and agreed at the start. Have had the feeling from the rhetoric throughout that the fighters knew this.

Who else can Canelo fight for decent money without loosing face now? Morrell won’t bring in the bucks and no one wants to see another, smaller Charlo run about for a paycheck. Bivol perhaps but he ain’t PBC and Canelo not willing to face him at 168 and his rematch clause at 175 expired ages ago.

Nowhere else to go for Canelo.

The current version of Benavidez beats the current version of Canelo. Canelo wont be able to hold that pace now and his output isn’t good enough to keep Benavidez off him for long. It’ll be a war but one which I expect Canelo will loose. I think Bivol could’ve finished Canelo if he’d thrown caution to the wind a little and stepped on the gas. Can’t see Benavidez letting up if he got Canelo in that position.

I think the PBC matchmaking to get to this point has been entirely deliberate and building up to this.

No coincidence that the main 2 PBC fighters in the Canelo sweepstakes both fought now with that May 2025 date in mind. It was always going to be the one who shone most at the weekend and there’s absolutely no doubt who that was.

Canelo’s always ****ing on about legacy and fighting the best. It’s very clear who that is now.

I want this fight next, but Benavidez should not be naive. Canelo always has options.

The other Charlo wants Canelo. Munguia wants Canelo. Bivol would rematch Canelo. Beterbiev would fight Canelo.

Benavidez needs a plan B for stay busy fight if Canelo choses Munguia next.

You know I'm old enough to remember when you used to come on here and claim how good Andrade and Charlo are and how everyone was dodging them because they were so good.... Just shows that you don't know sh** and you just come on here to crap on everything because you hate yourself so much.....
You might want to stay on topic. For either of the weight classes Crawford became undisputed, there wasn’t a former champion still in that same division who never lost their title and was seen as the rightful champion. Ennis was a contender who became mandatory, you’re not comparing the same thing. Doesn’t surprise me that you got it wrong though, you’re a proven dumbass.

Doesn’t surprise me that a **** gobbler like you would support canelo vs munguia. Your assumptions about what canelo plans to do with Benavidez mean nothing because let’s deal with facts. The facts remain that canelo has repeatedly ducked Benavidez and is content facing a 40 yr old middleweight, a 0 time world champ with 5 losses and a jmw who hadn’t fought in a year plus.

I'm not gonna deny that Canelo has a good resume despite the fact I think he lost to GGG in the first fight. But he has a lot of miles on him even though he is still young. He seems to also be fond of golf which you can tell has had an impact on his fights.

IF I were Canelo, I would fight someone like Charlo next, then Crawford and retire. Stay away from Beneviedez. He is all risk no reward. I do not think Canelo has enough in the tank to go 12 with Beneviedez.

The only reason he has that resume is because Mosley, Floyd and Cotto weren’t little bicches like he is and fought him even though he was the much bigger and much younger man. He should be doing the same, but he’s not built like that and his corny ass fan base like you, condone bicchhh like behavior.
