Dubois needs to either win or lose by taking a knee again.

You know how cruel and malicious boxing fans can be. If Daniel goes out on bended knee yet again, they will be clamouring to see him in another big fight for the same reason they clamoured to see David Price in with big punchers. It's called Schadenfreude "pleasure derived by someone from another person's misfortune"

Going out on his shield, swinging punches, would probably work for him too.

Possible outcome: 300lb Miller absorbs Dubois' best shot, and forces Dubois to move around or throw more punches. Dubois will eventually fatigue and get pummeled into submission.
In hindsight, it was too much too soon, but I don’t think anybody really saw it coming, I admittedly didn’t. I picked Dubois by KO.

Miller hasn’t looked all that good during his comeback, 50/50 fight for me. Dubois early or Miller late.

He takes a shot ok, it’s more a lack of heart/grit.

What do you think about a Dubois/Joyce rematch? Win or lose against Miller, I think that's a match-up Dubois should seek. He has demons that need to be exorcised.

Yeah I think it makes sense. I’d probably pick Joyce though tbh unless his chin has completely cracked. Maybe the timing is right with Joyce approaching 40 but I just get the feeling Dubois would crumble again.

Who would you favour in that one?

I makes sense for Joyce also. he has nowhere to go.

I'd also pick Joyce because I don't think Dubois' workrate is high enough. I think Dubois has the power to hurt Joyce, but I'm not sure if he trusts his stamina enough to throw the amount of punches necessary to hurt and finish Joyce. He won't want to over-extend himself, and may potentially let Joyce recover.

Dubois was doing what he needed to do....KO the opposition put in front of him. It was up to Queensberry to find decent journeymen or gatekeepers to test him before he made a bid for world-level. Joyce was getting the match-ups that Dubois needed: Jennings, Ustinov, Stiverne. I think Queensberry skipped a step in his development, hoping that he'd survive whatever difficult moments were thrown at him (i.e. AJ vs. Klitschko). They took a gamble and it hasn't really paid off.
I agree & I said the same thing about David Price. He was smashing domestic level guys then Frank Maloney put him in with a top 10 contender coming off his 2nd title shot against Wladimir Klitschko. When Thompson got up from his best punch he had no answer & we know how his career unfolded after that. He too skipped a level of development. He never got those tough rounds in against durable journeymen & gatekeepers before stepping in with Tony Thompson.
