Tszyu is the only real money fight at 154 right now (and one I'd like to see) unless Crawford-Spence II doesn't come to fruition and he fights Bud (I'd like to see that, too). Otherwise, he may as well move up and get a belt in another division that doesn't have any stars at the moment.
Lara could've been an essybone to make, but he is supposedly fighting Danny Garcia.

I believe Charlo got enough in him to beat Janibek, doubt bob greenlights that fight tho...

I'm sort of neutral on that fight, but if Charlo can maintain his prime for a while longer, I would still live to see him being champ at 154. Then other guys can contender amongst each other when he moves to 160.
I actually like Jermell. I know him and he's a pretty cool guy. I just don't see him staying at 154. I just was saying that if Lubin gets a shot at a belt I hope that he wins it finally. If he fights Jermell ,I'm rooting for Jermell to win.
I see Jermell beating Janibek too. If they fight it should be in Houston, it will make money there. You have Charlo fans , latino fans , and a city with a huge population of sports fans. Put Giovanni Marquez , Emiliano Vargas , Brandun Lee, and maybe Vergil Ortiz on the undercard and it'll sell out anywhere in Houston.

That's a really good comparison. I haven't heard that name in a minute.

Geez, did Canelo take Mell's soul? I thought he'd want to wipe away his loss by going back and dominating his real division.

I like Lubin, but of his only shot at a 154 for belt is Charlo - he is doomed.

I think so, too. Janibek is good, but he seems like another Top Rank fighter being hyped up greater than he is in reality.

I think Adames could be the beast of the division. I'd like to see him against another credible opponent, though, before I am convinced.

And I don't think Jermall stays at 160 and takes on Adames, which makes it all the more pointless for the WBC and Jermall to hold up that belt.

The fight against Benavidez isn't even for his belt... It's a catchweight.

And that's not even the Charlo who vacated his belt here. Neither of them seems to have the fire any more.

You are aware that he hadn’t fought in 16 months before facing Canelo, right? His lack of interest in defending his belts existed well before Canelo.

Yep, like I said, which makes it all the more pointless for the WBC and Jermall to hold up that belt.

Jermall certainly hasn't had the fire for a while. But, I'll reserve judgement on him until after this fight, though it's far from a tough test.

As for Jermell, I'm curious to see what direction he goes in next. That will go a long way in determining how much fire he has left.
