I think its such a dirty move by the IBF to take a belt off someone who contractually cannot take another fight, and has also not even had the belt for 4 months. Just dirty.
But they're doing it to try set up another unification.
This is the power of promoters though. Crawford is not tied to any of the big name promoters who influence the sanctioning bodies. IBF were very quiet when Al Haymon's fighter held this belt.
Ennis v Crawford we all want to see. But it could result in a lot of trouble for Ennis, before he's had much experience with A list fighters.
