Why not commit to giving him a shot? You notice how when fighters become champs they do the same thing to the up and comer that was done to them?

Boots was offered a shot at Crawford last year. He and his daddy professed loyalty to Showtime and went the IBF route. That's not Bud's fault.

Boots himself said that 154 "Would be lovely for me. Folks already know." So my question is if the fish aren't biting at 147, why not go fishing at 154? Tszyu wouldn't turn down a high profile fight like that.

If Bud is contractually obligated to batter Errol again next, how TF can he entertain a Boots fight right now without violating the contract he has with PBC for the rematch and being sued???

Some of y'all are beyond dumb.

I'm not mad at Ennis, but he's pushing like he's the one who did all the things that Bud did. Bud slautered Spence, thee SPENCE, that guys on this site praised to high heaven. Boots fought the statue of Libertad, Villa. Why would Bud duck Boots and fight Spence? I think Bud is just now recognizing Boots as a pay day. He might get his wish.

          Bingo!

Like he ever would have given Boots a shot.

I agree and most likely he will drop them belts once spence confirms if the rematch moving up in weight as well. Supposedly contract terms dictate rematch at 147.

I don't see any reason why a fighter can't defend each belt at least once a year. Henry Armstrong and Sugar Ray Robinson fought damned near every month. How come now dudes are too frail to fight more than once or twice a year ?
They're going to be crying when they don't get into the Hall of Fame and get told ," Well , you had a fifteen year career , but you only fought 12 times , that's why we can't induct you , you have no body of work" .

It is kinda bullshlt that Terence didn't get any time after winning the belt when they knew there was a rematch clause. They could have negotiated something.

I think they both know that it's not going to make any money. Nobody believes that Spence can beat Crawford if they run it back 100 times.

“Elevating” fighters to a “world champion” will never be ok.

You are not a real champion unless you actually win it in the ring.

Yes he did. He could literally tell them to allow him to fight for the vacant title. But he's cool with being given the email title
