That fight was pretty obvious how it was going to go after the first few rounds. Neither guy wanted to go into another gear. I watch boxing mostly for technical aspects, but even I didn't have much interest in finishing this fight because both guys only showcased a few skills, and you saw everything needed by the fifth round.

Honestly that was a very disappointing performance by Shakur. He wasn't countering, and he was exiting in straight lines. Was up against another southpaw with an much speed and more power, and he looked afraid to engage. I expect a Tank fight would look much the same. Tank is very low volume, and he's got much less reach than DLS. I'd rather see DLS and Tank fight TBH.

Best performance of the top billed guys was Conceicao. What a warrior!

Shakur only stands in the pocket with smaller guys like Valdez

Glad that I did not stay up to watch this fiasco of a fight. Shakur I rather see you committing a crime by beating up defenseless people on the ground and swinging your fists at women. Reebok this is the "track star" clown (chicken) that represents your brand and company ?

Me too, but whenever I turned the volume up I heard the announcers tell me stevenson was dominating. I just watched DLS run at him throwing punches and he ran away. Then Im told thats masterful boxing. I guess its the art of not getting hit. You know, forget the art of hitting. Just get the FK outta there and run away. But then once I saw some BS compubox thing showing Stevenson landed 20% more punches or some $#!t. But yeah he only threw about 3 punches the whole fight.

To me this night was all about Abdullah Mason who looked amazing! I know his competition wasnt world class but his speed and accuracy was stunning. And he had a killer instinct. Probably the whisky but this performance had me comparing him to my favorite fighter of all time, Terry Norris, at least in some ways, and thinking he might be faster.

After round 4, I just kept hitting the 10 second ff button, looking for any knockdown, all the way to the end of the fight. 12 minutes was all I was willing to watch.

It was like the first 6 rounds of loma v lopez, except a whole fight.

A better and more sincere reaction wouldve been to change up during the fight. Saying it stunk afterwards isn't worth anything. This is whi he is and what he goes back to when the fight is hard.

It's a boxing forum, genius. Boxing fans are going to give their opinions, because it was the main event, and it stank.

We now know that Shakur is going to put on a track meet when he faces a puncher. This was a dreadful performance especially considering he thinks he’s in the P4P conversation. He has no chance at being a PPV star. If you try to box him he’ll jab you to death. Any good fighter who puts pressure on him and fights will beat him. He has no power and is boring as sheet to watch. He was definitely exposed. At least when Floyd was young, he fought. It was later in his career that he relied on his defense to set up his offense. Shakur got the green strap and didn’t do sheet.
