If the fight is at 147, which is Bud's prerogative, belts will be on the line. I don't think Spence wants to fight at 147. Unless Spence backs out at that weight, there is no way for Bud to fight anyone else. Even though Bud says Jermell is no longer on his "hit list," it's the only fight for Bud that makes sense at 154. Two titles would be on the line and Jermell is ripe for another beat down. Tszyu is too tough a customer and I wouldn't fight him as opposed to Jermell. Tszyu will die on his sword and give 110% effort. Jermell will gladly cash another paycheck before it's off to the Caribbean. Good for him. Bucks in the bank serve an aging fighter very well.

If Canelo or Fury decide to not fight their mandatories (Benevidez/Usyk). And use the same excuse Crawford and his team are using. Will it be called a duck or do they get a pass too?
Boots was #2 in the WBO and was about to be elevated to #1 when Vergil went down for medical reasons. That's when E-mail Ennis high-tailed it to the IBF. Usyk is not Fury's mandatory. Please get your facts straight.

Crawford sure gets a lot of hate the guys breezed through the divisions and beat the dogsh** out of Spence and Ennis as much as I think he's a good fighter has one top 5 win at 147 he should be fighting Stanonis/Thurman and not being emailed the IBF belt and thinking hes calling the shots

If he never fights Boots, I wouldn’t care. Crawford has bigger fish to fry at 154 vs Charlo, Tszyu, and there’s also Canelo if he’s serious about that.

Boots is good but Crawford is under no obligation to fight him. Just thinking reasonably. Now as a mindless fan who doesn’t care about what makes sense for the fighter, I am intrigued by Crawford-Boots, a little bit. Not by all that much. Since I haven’t seen Boots at the B level yet. Idk what to get excited about.
This could be one of the most sensible well written comments I have ever seen on this forum. Very good points and agreed very interested to see Bud have a crack at 154 he probably has 2 or 3 fights left Charlo or Tszyu would be epic.

Crawford is contractually obligated to a rematch with spence. Spence wants the rematch, so there is no boots fights till they sort this out.

He's not wrong. The PBC groupies have now moved onto Boots now that Spence & Charlo have been cucked.

And it's just amazing because Bud's the realest dude you could image.

Guy is the epitome of a street cat made good & brought his hood with him.

Guy is Black Excellence personified, but because he had Bob Arum as a promoter, like 1/2 of the legendary Black fighters of the past 50 years, they make him out to be a buster.

Mayweather was the cash cow of boxing with the ability to fight anybody he wanted, whenever he wanted.

Crawford is a guy who's been blackballed & locked out of the biggest fights in boxing by people afraid of him, big difference.

Fury was being accused of ducking is the point. And so is Canelo. So are the bud fans gonna keep that same energy and call it a duck or giving him a pass for beating one guy. Let me repeat that again, one guy. Who so happens to be his best win on his resume. Or will his fans say go and really clean out the division and beat boots, Thurman and Virgil if he stays at 147 before he gets a pass to pick and choose? I really doubt it though.

Ennis left the rankings rather than press for his shot with the WBO. Then, he turned down what became the Avanesyan fight.
