The thing I'm wondering is if those who are hopping the Boots wagon now are really Spence fans, or actually Crawford haters who was a "fan" of Spence only because he was not Crawford?

I mean, do these guys realize that by claiming Crawford is ducking Boots, they are also accepting the fact that Spence is considered a lesser boxer than Boots given that Crawford is "ducking" Boots while he took on Spence (and destroyed him).

If the Spence rematch is absolutely necessary, then fine just do it at 154 to be Crawford's "tune up" fight at his first time at 154 sometime in the first half of next year, then take Tszyu (who seems very open to the idea of facing Crawford) to become a four division champ at the beginning of 2025 and and then set up an undisputed fight with Jermell for a one last cash grab fight (before Jermell gets stripped further) for the end of 2025, and at 38 years old 43-0 four division champ who went three time undisputed and retire into the sunset for a story book ending.

Canelo? Just give me a fight with Benavidez then go up to rematch Bivol or Beterbiev and I don't care what else he does. Canelo isn't going to gain any extra points in his legacy for defeating Crawford (just like he got no credit for defeating Jermell) and Crawford will just be selling his zero for a **** ton of cash, while also likely throwing away the chance of making history at 154.
Only in a perfect world could the boxing gods be so good...

Ennis would have beaten spence at any time.
He’s not that good but he best or made it close with all the folks you named in the early part of that post…make it make sense

If he never fights Boots, I wouldn’t care. Crawford has bigger fish to fry at 154 vs Charlo, Tszyu, and there’s also Canelo if he’s serious about that.

Boots is good but Crawford is under no obligation to fight him. Just thinking reasonably. Now as a mindless fan who doesn’t care about what makes sense for the fighter, I am intrigued by Crawford-Boots, a little bit. Not by all that much. Since I haven’t seen Boots at the B level yet. Idk what to get excited about.
Tszyu is not a “big fish”. Lol.

boots is the most interesting fight for Bud right now I. The aftermath of the Charlo did v Alvarez. Unfortunately Boots just isn’t worth the risk for Bud right now, and nothing wrong w that. He’s not a duck, not scared, just a 36 year old fighter trying to make as much money as he can before he has to retire. He doing what he posed to do.

Tszyu himself isn't a "big fish", but what is the "big fish" is his current position as "an active belt holder in 154 that will be willing to fight Crawford at 154 when he goes up there as soon as his next match", because everyone knows damn well Jermell isn't going to be lined up waiting for a Crawford any time soon.

Unfortunately, the next match fans will get from Crawford will likely be a beltless non-title bout vs Spence II.

I'd rather see Bud smash Jermell or Tszyu. The Spence rematch is pointless and will involve no belts.

This double standard is so funny to me. I have 2 question. Why does Crawford gets a pass and it’s not called a duck for not fighting his mandatory? Now my second question. If Canelo or Fury decide to not fight their mandatories (Benevidez/Usyk). And use the same excuse Crawford and his team are using. Will it be called a duck or do they get a pass too?
