And it doesn’t mean that he can’t eat them either. And he only wants Canelo, not the rest of the guys that you’re thinking about.

Floyd is an elite defensive fighter (arguably the best) who can go rounds without being touched. Crawford is not like that. Crawford has never been in the ring with a elite counter-puncher who will counter when he counters. Canelo is a level above Spence, regardless of weight. Canelo would destroy him. Hell, i'm not sire Crawford beats the elite of 160.

Name a fighter Crawford has beat that's on the same level as Canelo? Even pre-accident Spence isn't on the level of Canelo. I'll go has far as to say that Ennis, Thurman, Virgil, and Tszyu would've destroyed that same Errol Spence that Crawford fought. The delusion in this boxing community is crazy

Cotto, Trout, Lara etc also survived and had some success against Canelo. He hasn't got the fastest feet or the best stamina.

And how many years ago were those bouts? That's like comparing the Floyd that fought Augustus to the Floyd who fought Judah, Oscae, Cotto, Marquez, and Manny. You mentioned Lara not mentioning he is a much better defensive fighter than Crawford. Trout was no slouch either but he lost 8-4 against Canelo. Again, Crawford has never fought someone as skilled as Canelo. Even P4P Canelo would be the best fighter Crawford ever fought

He did. I remember Saunders was doing alright too, until he got careless. I wouldn't expect an elite guy like Crawford to make the same mistakes.

Crawford is currently 36 years old, and given that he's fought once a year since 2020 he's got three, maaaybe four matches tops left in his career I'd say. It really is a shame that the two most talked about potential opponents for Crawford are both absolutely useless when it comes to adding on to his legacy as a boxer. They both will get him good money so I can see why he is willing to go for it and I don't blame his thought process, but still a waste.

If not for the Spence rematch, I really think Crawford can go up to 154 next summer and fight Tszyu for his belt and win. Then he might be able to sell off the undisputed fight for another cash-in to convince Jermell to fight him one last time for another check, or whoever gets Jermell's belt after they are stripped next year. However, after Spence II rematch win and a Canelo loss, at 38 years old 41-1 with loads of cash in his bank account Crawford certainly won't be staying around an extra few years to clean out 154 from there. Heck, not even a guarantee that he'd win a belt at 154 at that point as he might just not care after the Canelo retirement fundraiser.

I'm sure Crawford can take a punch from Canelo, but it's getting hit with over 100 punches that's gonna hurt and break him down. But its almost impossible that Crawford will hurt Canelo with his punches. Canelo's taken bombs from GGG, Kovalev, and others, and he just kept going forward to get the KO or win. If Crawford were fighting at 160 or 168 for a few years, then he might have a chance. The smaller welter frame has allowed him to use speed to get the wins. He will be visibly slower at 168. Better he stay 154, unify and go out as a 3 weight class undisputed champ.
