All they need to do is make his first fight against one of the highest ranking fighters, at least an Ellis, Santillan, or Crowley though Crowley doesn't present much - and the winner is a true champ. Problem solved and no more "email champ" monikers. Maybe now fighters won't avoid him with a title dangling but that doesn't mean they will be eager to face him either. He is clearly the goods.

I get the IBF tried to do right by him, but Crawford is the champ and Ennis just is not.
Crawford won no belts from Porter.

Lmfaoooooo, so much for Crawford's reign.

Man didn't want to fight Boots to the point of losing the unified status.

I don't think Boots would have won anyways. He would've got the brakes beaten off of him but damn. lol

I wonder if Boots can force a fight to happen for all the titles now.

Crawford didn't want to make the fight however

                Yes he did.

When Crawford refused the Spence fight the first time. Ennis petitioned the IBF to force the mandatory. The IBF then told Spence he has to make the Crawford fight in x days or get stripped of the title.

                Spence-Crawford was subsequently agreed to.

So, Ennis definitely petitioned against Spence.

Tell me you didn't read the article without telling me you didn't read the article.

He's asking, what are they going to say now to NOT have to fight him?

Crawford is obligated by contract to rematch Spence, so it isn't really about want or don't want.

The rest of what you say, I mostly agree with.

Is the Crawford-Spence fight for sure happening though?

If not, that could be a major deciding factor in the determining of stripping Crawford of the belt.

IBF was going to do the same with Spence but maybe Spence at least provided proof to the Org that he was trying to make the fight with Crawford happen?
