  • Comments Thread For: Warren on Fury-Usyk Postponement: It Was a Harder-Than-Usual Night For Fury; Needs to Let His Body Recuperate

Promoter Frank Warren doesn't get why there is so much uproar over the fact that Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk won't be meeting on Dec. 23 for the undisputed heavyweight championship.

No fish eyes, you know people are kicking off because Fury threatened legal action if Usyk didn’t comply with the December date. I bet he’s actually happy it got delayed, but just played up to cause some well deserved grief.

Scams from every direction. Usyk had already pulled out for December, so his injuries were a lie also—trash from both sides. Fury gets touched up by an amateur, and Usyk already has 2 defeats from body shots. These two aren't generational heavyweights by a country mile.

If Fury is not in Heavy training, then what improvements in his form are people expecting for Usyk?

I think Fury's hardcore fans needs to accept that Fury did train for Ngannou, by his own words a 12 week training camp.

I have seen some people reference that Sugar Hill Steward only was apart of that camp for the last 5 weeks, well so what?

Tyson Fury is at the level of the sport, were no trainer really is going to teach him anything 'Did Ben Davidson teach Fury anything? No'.

The most important thing with Tyson Fury, is being in good condition for him to actually fight 'And Fury's condition was there about the same as always of late'.

Tyson Fury for all his abilities is not Anthony Joshua, David Haye. I cite those two Heavyweights, because I know they had a appetite for training when they were up against it 'A near psychopathic Work ethic'. I just don't think Fury is that type of fighter.

And even if he did revert back to his days while he was training under Peter Fury. When a fighter has spent years not really training at that level, then it can have a negative chronic effect upon the fighter 'We saw this with Derek Chisora vs Whyte II, when he was training with David Haye. Chisora look great on the scales but was overtrainned due to his body not being acclimatized to the intensity of the team Hayemaker.

I predicted that team Fury would prolong negotiations with Uysk for their fight, but well? A extra 2-3 months, I think Tyson Fury needs years and the DMC Delorean from back to the future 'So he can train under Peter Fury, and refine his innate clumsiness again which has got worst since he has left Peter Fury tutorage'.

Note: Style's do make fights, and Usyk is a different kind of challenge to Ngannou 'And people must never entirely dismiss Tyson Fury, but the man has got serious work to do' etc.

Stop comparing fury to the likes of Mayweather Lewis Pacman or Tyson , he is nowhere near there skill levels , we are in the time where boxing analyst are the worst of all time , fury has done one thing that all the past greats couldn't , which is avoid fighting a single fighter coming off a very good confident win or in a good stage in there career

Fury should've been quiet about December. Now he can't do anything different than convincingly beat Usyk if they postpone it for February. He could have kept quiet and use the fact that Usyk failed the April date. The fact they didn't officially announce December 23 as a fight date before the Ngannou fight makes me think it wasn't really agreed, but the date was dependent on the outcome, but even if it is so, Fury did the wrong talk.

Corrie Sanders probably would’ve beat both these guys. Rid**** Bowe might’ve stopped both

Frank has to do so much damage control for Fury these days. Every week his guy does something ******ed that he needs to try and defend or spin.
