And why would the Saudi's, who are paying insane $$$ to both guys, even want one of the boxers looking like this a mere 8wks before a huge fight they are making. You'd want both guys as close to their best as possible as the person throwing bags at these two guys. I don't get the controversy or confusion here at all.

They don't do it these days but maybe they should. I'm not sure postponing would necessary or helpful. Being active and "getting back on the horse" as they say can be a good thing, especially for someone like Fury who is prone getting depressed and blowing up in weight.

Fury knew when he made the fight date with Ngannou in late October that he wouldn't fight Usyk in late December.

Exactly. The idea Fury is going to have a professional few weeks recovery and then prepare for a postponed date is laughable. If we were talking about other fighters (e.g. Beterbiev) I could take it seriously, but not with Fury. So he "rests" until Christmas, enjoys plenty of festive cheer, and then turns up February in much the same shape he did for Ngannou. Waste of time and just leaves more room for him to do something unpredictable. Just hold him to the date, if he loses he can make his excuses between then and the rematch.

I agree. I don't see a legitimate reason for Fury to postone the fight. There should be enough time for him to be in physical condition and surely there's enough time for promotion hence this date being set in the firat place. Imo if Fury does postpone the fight it's because his self confidence has taken a huge dent after such a poor performance.

Fury will have plenty of money to battle depression when he makes $200M or more over the next 2 fights. Dude has been bipolar & depressed for yrs. He seems more on point in the last yr or two then he's been in awhile. And this is the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow for him. He'll be able to not fight for 2yrs or 3yrs, or longer, AFTER these two fights.

And you failed to bring up the Saudi's part in this. If I'm paying these two probably $300M-$350M for two fights I want them to be as close to 100% as is reasonable for them to be. The Saudi's are paying for this fight & I kinda doubt they want one of these boxers with a black eye 8wks from the fight & the other boxer saying he'd ideally want a longer camp then he's getting. I don't see the upside for the Saudi's if they want to present the best fight or give themselves ample time to fully plan & hype their event by rushing it forward in a few wks from now.

Fury will fight Usyk, nothing this current version of fury loves more than money, he won’t mind getting beat up for money

Too many of you guys got basic, after the bell rings 5th grade school beef, low level thinking takes on how this game works. Its a business at this level not a sport. These guys are gonna make generational wealth in this fight alone, if they both don't have it already. This ain't about confidence like a fight would be to you or most of us who've never fought at this level or for money at all, let alone how much they'll be getting. This is about a sh^t ton of money & history book level legacy sh^t. If you don't get that idk how to explain it to you, but when this fight & the rematch both happens I'll look forward to further backwards logic on why it did from you ig.
Yeah ok pal. You're out to lunch.
