If they met in a few years at 126, nobody would care. Immediate rematch? MF's smoking rocks.
I hear you on that. I don't mind rematches, but rematch clauses are a stain.

      Not even remotely.

Haymon is surely using Davis' next fight and the Crawford-Spence rematch as bait to land a new TV deal.

There's a pic of Errol floating around and let's just say he hasn't been in the gym. I doubt that fight happens again.

They should make an official announcement that it's not happening. Youtubers are having a field day making all kinds of things up about it. Just try typing "spence crawford rematch" in the search bar and see for yourselves. You'll see a bunch of clickbaiters to attract views.

From what I read Crawford has insisted if it take place that it be at 147, probably to deter Spence from activating the clause because it is a waste of Crawford's time.

Boots or Stanionis are my preferences, but that's me being an idealist boxing fan. I accept there probably isn't the money to make either worthwhile to Crawford at this stage of his career.

Spence deactivates the clause and Crawford proceeds to move and fight Tim. What a slap in the face!

Its a completely needless rematch that very likely ends even worse for Spence anyway.

I don't know how many people are rushing to see this rematch. Both fighters fight once a year, so they have the entire year 2024 to sort things out. And I think both guys might even like it the way it is. No pressures to look for other fights.

Except those titles won't be available for others for many months to come.

                      - - Anyone who knows boxing and physiology knows Spence was done as an elite fighter after his drunken aerial flight beside his Ferrari years back.

He's made his retirement fund, so prob best served moving to civilian productivity and raising his family.

Craw is poison at the box office and will continue to struggle getting fights until he finally quits in frustration. Boxing currently adrift with no comprehensive plan of substance to bring it back as the King of Sports.
