If Calzaghe fought at MW Hop would never have been champ

If Roy beats Hop that will end all doubt that out of the 3 Calzaghe was the most dominant. If Hop wins it's a slight question about Hop-Cal prime vs prime but we've all heard how Nard didn't want a match years ago because in his words "it doesn't make history". Hop is the reason Calzaghe had to wait. Period.

One judge scored it 114-113 to Hopkins, but the two others saw Calzaghe winning by wide margins of 115-112 and 116-111.
The win extends the Newbridge southpaw's unbeaten record to 45 fights, while Philadelphia's Hopkins falls to 48 wins, five defeats and one draw.
Calzaghe said: "It was one of the toughest fights of my career.
"He is very clever. He was so awkward. It wasn't pretty, but I won the fight.
"It wasn't my best night, but I know I won.
"I'm a legend killer - I just finished B-Hop, maybe Roy Jones is next."
Quoted after the Hopkins win by Joe Cal.
