IF you think Fury won, it was far from a clear victory, he was knocked down and I don't remember Ngannou ever being hurt by a clean shot. There were no dominant rounds except for the round where Fury was knocked down. The Lineal HW champ squeaked out a split division victory against a novice boxer, it was an embarrassing night for boxing. Fury fanbois are trying desperately to save the reputation of their hero.

Ngannou has been boxing since he was 12 years old. Just because his professional opponents were throwing kicks and takedowns at him doesn't mean Ngannou wasn't boxing.

Why is this a hard concept to grasp?

When an MMA fighter has a BJJ base and wins using BJJ, nobody ever says "He wasn't a BJJ fighter, because his opponent is a Freestyle Wrestler and this is MMA".

Ngannou is a boxer, and a pretty good one.

So how do you think Ngannu would have done against Bowe, Lewis, Evander, Holmes, Tyson, or even the likes of Tim Witherspoon, David Tua, and Chris Byrd in their prime? Do you think it would have been close? hahaha I fought amateur in my teens and 20s. Do you think I can go 10 rounds with Usyk right now at 46?

Fury won in terms of boxing scoring. But I think Francis came out of this the winner knocking fury down and not being knocked down himself.

but everyone says Jake Paul should stop fighting mma guys in circus shows and fight a "real boxer". But now you're saying the MMA guys are real competition. Can't have it both ways. Either they are good boxers or they aren't.

Ngannou wins rounds 3, 4, and 8.
Fury wins rounds 1, 2, 5. 6, and 9.
Rounds 7 and 10 are more open for anyone to take or simply draw.

I am more inclined to give round 7 to Fury. So, my score would be between 96-93 and 95 - 94 in favor of Fury but I can understand if someone gives both 7 and 10 to Fury (making it 96 - 93) or Ngannou (making it 94-95), which is what two judges did.

I think Fury barely edged the fight but certainly lost his ego and prestige in the process.

If I say something, don't argue, learn from it. I know all the fighters you've rattled off personally and followed them each from their respective beginnings. If any of them were as casually prepared as Fury was Saturday, Ngannou would give them a fight. If they were prime and sharp, they'd shut the MMA/BOXER down easily, as would Fury.

Jake Paul cherry picks guys who he has most or all physical advantages over and/or are stylistically favourable for him to fight.


Also theres pretty big variation in MMA in all things, including the boxing ability of fighters. Theres wrestlers who can barely throw a punch, mixed in with guys who can actually box pretty well, and all kinds of **** in between.

Regardless, Jake needs to **** off, boxing needs to stop relying on circus fights involving none boxers to garner attention, and MMA guys need to get paid better in their own sport so they dont keep coming for boxing paydays. This **** has been going on for years now, its boring.
