Wilder just got pummeled like a ragdoll twice by Fury. He fought a Helenius who apparently was told to fight like Fury, which he can't, and he walked into a ko shot in the first minute of the fight.

A Ruiz fight would show where Wilder is at this point, and he and his team do not want that. Why is Wilder Ruiz not a 50/50? Or at worst, 60/40. I believe they offered 70/30....that means Ruiz is leaving millions on the table for a fight with no belts and risk. And that means Wilder is leaving 5 million or more on the table because he is pricing himself out.

If Ruiz was a damaged walkover, ok. But he will give Wilder hell. And AJ probably beats Wilder. Those Fury beatings were brutal, Wilder does not want to fight anyone with a pulse and so he is pricing himself out and doing reality tv.
It is unclear from what both have been saying.

If what Deontay said is true, and Ruiz or his dad hasn't denied it, no split was discussed but a $ figure was offered. My understanding of the situation is that his (Ruiz's) dad thinks that money is around 30% of what the fighters' purses should be and that is where the 70-30 comes in.

Dillian Whyte offered him $4 million at a time when Wilder was making an average of $1.5 mil.
Wilder countered by asking $7 million!! This is Whyte for crying out loud, easy fight easy money.
Yet Wilder wanted no part of it. Almost everyone has called his name Wallin, Chisora, Zhang, etc.
      Biggest joke in boxing.
Some people just love insulting people's intelligence, I guess. If you think normally, it's the exact opposite.

You’re being extremely disingenuous to disregard the AJ fight(s) and to also act like Wilder is the big draw in the Fury fight(s).

The only reason the subsequent fights were big(ger) is because Fury spun his fake depression and weight loss story also the way he got up in the 12th otherwise no one would care about the fights quite frankly...
1.6 million in the u.k. not America. And Joshua vs Parker did 1.8 million ppvs.

Does that mean those Parker ppvs vs Joshua count in wilder negotiations in america? Hell no. Those are Joshua ppvs. Not parkers. Not ruiz. We know ruiz ceiling in america. 100k buys.

Both Ruiz and Wilder are currently former champions, clamoring for a big fight. A 70/30 split is ridiculous.
250k ppv buys vs ortiz > ruiz ppvs combined

          Wilder should get 60/40

          $6 million to $4 million

At the time 1.6M buys in the UK was equivalent to about 625k buys in the US, the nearest opponent was equivalent to 480k buys and Povetkin is actually known in Europe, Olympic gold medalist, former title challenger and just been on AJs undercard with a big knockout.

But Andy still outperformed him when he's a nobody with no REAL accomplishments to his name apart from his flash in the pan against Joshua, which was arguably a lucky punch and he couldn't replicate his performance from the first fight.

Parker was Joshua's biggest PPV, Whyte's biggest and most likely Joyce's and anyone in the UKs as far as we know because BT don't release numbers,

It's Parker bringing in plenty of numbers, people in the UK often have family in Australia and New zealand so...

You're quite frankly delusional if you don't think the other fighter is bringing something to the table in terms of PPV when fighting AJ hence why some fights are doing 100s of thousands less when being a title fight and others are doing 100s of more when being a voluntary defence.

If it wasn't for the "foreign" market all of the Fury vs Wilder fights would've been an abject failure, so acting like it's irrelevant is laughable, in fact if AJ vs Wilder happens it's probably the biggest sticking point because Wilder is delusional in terms of his "worth".

I could get with that, but I read the offer from Wilder was 70/30.

We're talking about ruiz not joshua. Ruiz ppv vs Joshua on UK ppv has no bearing on Wilder negotiations in america. Those were Joshua ppvs

That's like giving Robert Guerrero credit for 800k ppvs against floyd
