Sorry dude - I can't see Winky, Taylor or whoever that other guy was beating him. Just can't.Comment

He was at his peak but he got better with age - so he was more 'in peak?
I don't think he slowed down loads and don't think it'd be to a large enough degree Tarver would really take advantage. Johnsons aggressiveness seemed a little more clever against Dawson and for me that would have just been enough to over whelm an older Tarver, as it did a younger, quicker, better Dawson he almost beat.but he also slowed down as well. He certainly wasn't as good when he faced Dawson. I'm not sure where you get that from.
Very good wins I don't disagree. But do any of them beat Calzahe, Hopkins or Jones? As far as Tarver being tested, I'd say Eric Harding, Montel Griffin, Roy Jones and Glen Johnson makes him far better than 99% of Calzaghe's opponents.
I agree it would have been good for Joe to get some names like that on his resume as-well, I do it's a shame. But that doesn't mean he's not better than Tarver and those guys. I'm afraid I see Antonio a little like Oscar. A very good fighter whom faced some big names, got some very good wins, but at the absolute top level and against real classy operators, just comes up short quite often.Comment

Well he did something nobody else has ever done. He fought the most astonishing amount of **** cans in the history of boxing. He also turned a pathetic WBO title run into something a couple people believe is legitimate. That an accomplishment. If not boxing he should be able to get in the magicians hall of fame.Comment

His getting better with age peaked with Jones/Tarver IMO. He was old when he fought them too
Well this doesn't contradict what I said...Tarver fought a better version of Johnson.I don't think he slowed down loads and don't think it'd be to a large enough degree Tarver would really take advantage. Johnsons aggressiveness seemed a little more clever against Dawson and for me that would have just been enough to over whelm an older Tarver, as it did a younger, quicker, better Dawson he almost beat.
Seeing as how Johnson (and Tarver himself) beat Jones - a much younger one - I'm not sure what you're trying to say.Very good wins I don't disagree. But do any of them beat Calzahe, Hopkins or Jones?Comment

I don't think Calzaghe is an ATG at all. That's ludicrous. But he's certainly a HOF'er. It's equally ludicrous to say otherwise.Well he did something nobody else has ever done. He fought the most astonishing amount of **** cans in the history of boxing. He also turned a pathetic WBO title run into something a couple people believe is legitimate. That an accomplishment. If not boxing he should be able to get in the magicians hall of fame.Comment
