FYI: I hope not the first Mercado fight. Because you'll have a tough time explaining to me how any version of Hopkins could lose to a guy who sc****d by Sugar Boy Malinga.
Well the first sentence i was quoting Street Bully. The second sentence, i'm sticking by.

      Thulani Malinga>>>Segundo Mercado.

In 1994 Eubank was a better fighter then the up and coming Hopkins.

Pound for pound, Hopkins is better.

I agree, but IMO Eubank would have beaten that version of Hopkins.

OMG Calzaghe fought more **** cans then any champion in history. His WBO title reign was so pathetic it's the measuring stick for all other fraud careers. Even Zsolt Erdei and Sven Otteke look at his resume at SMW and say "Man, that guy fought some **** competition" . Guys have harder fights defending Nabf titles to be honest.

I must've misunderstood you. When you wrote "lol at any vesion of Hopkins beating Eubank" I took that to mean something else.

Hard to say how good Hopkins was in 1994. He was certainly one of the best middleweights in the world - holding the first Mercado loss against him is a little narrow-minded.

Because the SMW division was stacked, right?

Yeah, it was pretty horrible. Makes you wonder why a guy who complained of making weight for so many years hung around.
