And the interviewer didn't even make a ruckus about it, just assumed it's legit, no questions asked.

Moral lesson of the story is, if you see something preposterous like this, call them out or do something.
Exactly the point of this thread without any form of bias or anything. Makes your head spin to see claims that don't make any sense at all.

the 8 million rumor was started by a fan/caller playing fantasy boxing exec on the tha boxing voice podcast. It caught on, on social media and people ran with it.

They probably stole the number from Fury/Dillian Whyte's purse which was 33 for Fury, 7 for Whyte

It's the era of fake news with people coming up with all kinds of lies to support their silly out-of-whack narratives.

To me, he probably misheard $8 million for Shakur, when it was really $8 million for both fighters with a 75/25 split for Haney, that's be $2 million for Shakur.

That sounds a lot more realistic.

No way anybody's going to pay Devin Haney $32 million

$32 million is supposed to be the total purse, so it's $24 mil for Haney and $8 mil for Stevenson.

            TS corrected his mistake here:

            I misrepresented the unknown x to be the other % split in my equation: 25/100 = 8,000,000 / x ; x = 8,000,000 (100) / 25 = 32,000,000 , which is the total purse.

Still, such figures are hard to believe.

To simplify the calculation: If $8 mil is 25%, then it's 1/4 of the pie, the remaining pie would be 3/4.

              So then you just multiply $8 mil by 3 = $24 mil. Total pie is 8 + 24 = 32.

                  I doubt it.

You just have to hope Haney loses in his next fight, or Prograis makes him look average. He might then consider going back to 135 with more focus, and things might get more clarified. Right now he's all smiles feeling he's on top of the world and acting ****y.

Doubt Haney’s career earnings by the time he retires will be $32m let alone make that for a single fight

If Haney was a REAL fighter. His up coming fight would have been with Loma. He’s not a man.
