Crawford is clearly wrong. Boxers need promoters to get started and become popular and if possible stars. Not all boxers can be pac, froid, carnela and cotto where they reach a certain level of star power where they can go off and negotiate on their own.

You clearly missed what he was saying, he didn't say boxers don't need these people, what he said was fire the ones that do not include the fighter's concerns into the decisions, I applaud him even with his very limited business sense he recognized what's been the norm of robbery by managers and promoters and he spoke up and fired Arum as a result he got some quality opponents, Arum blamed him publicly for not self promoting when that's what he was hired for, Crawford knows he is not the best spokesman or charismatic.

Fighting is unlike any other sport it's a brutal & short career and most have no say over anything and with the millions made although some are foolish with $$ most wind up penniless thru bad management

Simple don't work with the bad promoters. Find one that will pay you what you are worth. Fighters fight and Promoters promote, they BOTH WANT more money.

Arum wasn't wrong. Crawford made it public that he couldn't get big fights yet it was his own decision to resign with him in the first place. Not that hard. Use your brain cells. Crawford is great fighter but he’s not the sharpest.
he tried to sue arum and that went nowhere. He got huge pay checks for beating bums and huge money for fighting avensyan and crazy money to fight spence. Crawford is the problem with boxing. He doesn’t understand that to do what he’s saying u need to also promote your own fights. It’s possible to do but u can’t be the fighter and promoter one will suffer. Crawford wants all the money but doesn’t want to pay broadcasters and venues and what not he thinks boxers should get 95% of the profits which isn’t really feasible
