He did. Benavidez' promoter and dad both said he'd signed to fight Morrell. Was all over the place earlier this year, and then Benavidez started walking it all back. Plant is calling out an inactive middleweight, not the guy with a mandatory shot at Canelo, likely because he wants money and they had the whole slap incident.

Well, benavidez won the belt in 2017 and lost it in 2020, so I stand but what I said that canelo is a cherry picker and avoided the Phoenix's kid and that is a fact. The other "BS" as you mention are facts and not nick picking, you can say whatever you want about SRL but the fact remains that he fought Duran, Hagler, Hearns, Benitez, and Kalule, and won most of them.
