As far as Cubans never winning a big fight, pretty sure Rigo beat Donaire, Casamayor beat Diego corrales in 2/3 fights, Gamboa beat Salido, and Lara had been one of the best fighters in the world for about a decade, who’d have 2 massive wins if he didn’t get screwed by judges against Paul Williams and Canelo.
Lmao, then those two threats need to fight each other to see who gets the ticket. That champ with those 3 defenses also happens to have the best resume in boxing so… yeah. Lastly, you say the judges screwed Lara on the canelo and Paul Williams (rip) fights, see that’s where you are wrong and talk nonsense that lives in your head. The FACTS are Lara lost on those fights regardless of your feelings and emotions if anyone screwed Lara it was his damn self for fighting the way he did vs canelo, I won’t pretend to act like I seen the P will fight because I haven’t, regardless, he lost that one too although controversial since judges got suspended… no one got suspended on the canelo fight. Keep slandering

Top names are clearly not interested in him, another case of high risk low reward oponent.

How about MBilli, Bazinyan, Scull, McCrory, Shishkin, Melikuziev?

Just build your record to help get to the big fights.

Morrell is a danger for any 168 lb fighter including Canelo. Promoters get busy!

No one mentioned your name, because you have no name! All the guys you fight are unknown. How can the tip take you serious, when you haven’t sent any decent opposition. For Boo Boo Andrade to have a better resume than yours, that’s telling something, Benavidez is the only guy he has fought who is a tough dog!

By far and without a doubt the most avoided fighter in the game he’s right there with Shakur but Shakur is promoted better! Benavidez doesn’t even want that smoke, that should tell you something!

So these guys need to fight each other for the ticket while canelo picks 2 guys who have been inactive, aren’t even in the weight class, and a c level guy who had 5 losses and no meaningful wins. Yeah great logic. We know why Canelo hasn’t picked Benavidez or morrell and it’s not because of their resumes or what they haven’t earned it his eyes. It’s because of the risk they pose.

Morrell passes the eye test , it's just a matter of getting the fights. One way to do that is to fight every few months ,against whoever you can get in the ring. Build up a highlight reel and some buzz around your name. Get people demanding the big fights.

Eye test n amateur pedigree shows Morrell Jr has the highest ceiling. Should be the future undisputed 168 n 175 champ would love to see him n Benavidez have a trilogy series from 168 to cruiserweight yet Its obvious Benavidez don't want the smoke, he's to flat footed as well

As highly as I rate Morrell Jr, he simply has not achieved enough in the sport for anyone to claim he's being ducked; much less state that he is the most avoided fighter in the game. A WBA junior title is meaningless. While Morrell Jr has every right to call out the top guys, he needs to build his name up A LOT before he starts acting like the heir apparent. He needs to get in the ring with the highest ranked guy he can get, and absolutely dominate him. Like GGG did when the names wouldn't fight him.

Yes, absolutely. All these SMW contenders were doing while Canelo was cleaning out the division was standing by on the sidelines begging for a 'paidai' while claiming to be ducked. It's well past time some of them got in the ring with each other. The winner of Benavidez-Andrade will absolutely be the next to challenge Canelo.
