  • i wish i could see a Mayweather / Williams fight but may will always use the lame ass excuse that hes not a ppv attraction.....like who gives a **** (pardon my french) but seriously. If he wants to cemente his legacy he will have to fight tougher opponents. Im a fan on floyds and im thinking all this.

    • If P Williams handels Pavlik the way I think he will, the next logical step would be for him to ask for a spot in Showtimes S Mid Weight tourney. Now that would definitely turn a fire into an inferno!Williams vs Kesler,Abraham,Ward,Froch,Taylor,Direll tell me that don't sound good? That's just hoping but let's face it,Mayweather fights Williams when hell freezes over.Mosley needs cash to cement his retirement nest egg and won't get any with Williams. And Hopkins is too far fetched to even really discuss. So that leaves the welterweights which I don't think no one really wants any with Williams.I could be wrong though, there is just so many options for Him.It's gonna be fun to watch what 2010 brings us fans next year.

And you guys have the nerve to say that Floyd was so much
bigger than Marquez? Look at P.Will compared to the other WW's?
I don't blame the guys at 147 for not fighting Williams because Paul
is supposed to be dominating the higher weight classes. I much
rather see Paul fight Dawson before any other lil dude. That's like
a college Basketball player going on a court at a Junior Highschool
        challenging the students.

        • Will the real P4P please stand up?

Paul Williams is the real P4P champion. No one is calling him out and he is calling everyone out.

I like Paul Williams but he has had other fighters challenge him
to fight and he turned them down. I like Paul Williams but at
the end of the day, he is chasing big money fights like Floyd,
Pac, Mosley and everybody else. And thanks for the promotion
by using my post as your quote.

Boxing has weight classes, not height classes. If Williams can make 147, he's a Welterweight. If Floyd wants to fight Lightweights, he should fight at 135.

Clottey called him out. Martinez called him out, and Dzindziruk called him out, all in the last three months.

The part that you forget to mention is that he was already set to fight Pavlik when those call outs happened. Its easy to "call someone out" when they have a fight scheduled....

Marquez made the catch weight didn't he? Williams is TOO TALL
to be fighting WW's. He should be fighting from 154 and UP!!
PERIOD! I want to see him fight guys on his eye level to be
considered the BEST. I wouldn't be surprised if he could beat
everybody at 147 BUT what does that prove in the long run?
Paul has height and he should be pushing himself and seeing
what he is capable of against guys his size.

You're trying to rewrite history. That's half true in the case of Martinez, but Clottey and Dzindziruk tried to make fights with him well before negotiations with Pavlik even started.
