If anything, he was the name that most people brought up as the weakest link of the four featherweights. I even recall an article I read somewhere that was suggesting Fulton to try to win against him so he can get a belt again if he wants to rematch Inoue in a few years.

Which reminds me, now that it is inevitable Woods is moving up and vacating his belt, who is the next likely candidate to get? Given the ****** ranking system it is highly unlikely it occurs, but just for giggles if there's one between Figueroa and Fulton it certainly will be rather entertaining.

I haven't checked where they usually fight at, but given that Matchroom just recently won a purse bid for the MJ-Gonzalez WBA title eliminator that was also likely to be around December, maybe one of them will be added under the currently not-so-very-enticing Prograis-Haney December 9 PPV, and the other one under the Sunny-Bam unification or something.

Featherweight division has been in turmoil for the past several years. All the best fighters leave the division before really cementing their dominance in the division (Shakur, Lomachenko, Navarette,) while others are simply placeholders (GRJ, Leo Santa Cruz).

Hearn calling Wood #1 isn't that big of a stretch since he has defeated more ranked opponents than the others but Wood would be an underdog against almost all of them.

True, but I think it will become a rather interesting solid division in the next few years.

Robeisy and Venado are legit champions with skill, and Rey Vargas isn't cookie crumbs yet either. Fulton has also moved up and definitely looking for a chance at a belt, Figueroa is still there, and Naoya has said multiple times that he plans to make the featherweights his essential final weight class (excluding possibly one memory match at super feather right before retirement). Heck, his skills I'm not sold on yet but at least in terms of social media/Mayweather buzz there will be that Moton kid for a few years I'm assuming, unless he flees to another division.

Now, if Venado and Robeisy decide to leave before Inoue gets there, then the luster wears off a bit.

WBA will doubtless be scheduling some eliminators. I think Ramirez is probably tops in this division. Venado has a lot of holes in his game. I want to see those two fight. Wood is at least exciting to watch, since he keeps saving himself with his power.

Last I recall he won the title eliminator for IBF against Venado, but Venado is trying to do a unification with Robeisy instead (which I personally would love to see even at the cost of Reiya's opportunity) so having a chance at a vacant belt will be nice.

Likely, but has Figueroa been chin checked by anyone as heavy handed as Wood. Ramirez probably outboxes him - the age difference would be in his favour. Lopez prob wins - 60-40.

Which of those guys has a win over a future hOF? Which of those guys is getting in the HOF? None and none is the answer. Only Inoue at 122/126 will be in the HOF
