Playing safe - think this is a closer fight than the odds suggest - his dad had a mid-career upset vs Vince Phillips - Mendoza could be Tim's banana skin

Phillips was an excellent fighter plagued by substance abuse problems. Mendoza was being beaten up by Fundora before he found that Hail Mary.

I'm doubtful of my own KO early pick, but I feel that Tszyu should end matters inside the limit, there's too much difference in class between the two. Still, I have also seen too much respect from him for Mendoza...hmmm...

Tata, the first 4 rounds were even imo. Menoza clearly lost rounds 5 and 6 but was competitive. He was getting marked up, but at no point was he wobbled or did he even take a step backwards, much less get hurt. Mendoza maintained his form throughout and probably landed as many punches throughout the fight, whereas Fundora threw a lot which missed.
