    and

    Tim Tszyu (23-0-0)

    Vs

    Brian Mendoza
    (22-2-0)

    (12 ROUNDS)

NOTE ON SCHEDULING: Technically although due to the scheduling and time zones (the sites are 16 hours apart) the main event from Queensland will actually take place before the title fight in Texas I've chosen to order them chronologically according to the officially scheduled date

    BETTING ODDS:

    Alimkhanuly: (-1100) Gualtieri: (+700) x3 on Vincenzo
    Tsyzu: (-650) Mendoza: (+450) x2 on Brian

    https://www.proboxingodds.com/events/2023-10-14-1876

Optional multipliers only applicable on Gualtieri and Mendoza

    Ways fighters can win:

    12 ROUND FIGHTS:

    DECISION: CLOSE (0-9), CLEAR (10 - 18), WIDE (19+)
KO: EARLY (1-4), MID (5-8) or LATE (9-12)

    10 ROUND FIGHTS:

    DECISION: CLOSE (0-8), CLEAR (9 - 15), WIDE (16+)
KO: EARLY (1-3), MID (4-6) or LATE (7-10)

Examples of the ways you can state your decision:

PICK EM CREW, Gualtieri, KO, Mid x5
PICK EM CREW, MENDOZA DEC CLOSE x3
PICK EM CREW TSYZU KO LATE
If no multiplier is specified in your pick (ie x2, x3) then it will be assumed that no multiplier is being used (x1)
If you wish to pick a Draw result, simply state your Username, both fighter names and DRAW, ie:

PICK EM CREW, JANIBEK / GUALTIERI DRAW

    NOTES:
-Picking the correct winner earns 20 pts
-Picking the correct method earns 10 pts
-Picking the correct detail is worth 10 pts
-Draws are worth 150 pts. A perfect pick without a multiplier is 40pts.

-CLOSE is 9 or fewer pts difference, eg 116 - 112, 116 -113 115 - 113 or closer. CLEAR is 10 - 18 pts difference, eg 117 - 111 or below on all three cards WIDE is 19 points or over ie an average of 117 -111 or above on all three cards

-If you'd like to change your pick before the fight starts, post in this thread to do so. Ideally tag me so that I don't miss it.

-2X doubles your points and 3X triples your points x5 multiplies your points earned by 5. Everyone starts with 8 doubles 4 triples and 2 x5s to use throughout the year. Multipliers may only be played on the bookies underdog in any fight as indicated on the first post of each Pick Em thread bolded under the section entitled 'betting odds'.
    ...............

If I could ask one of the mods to kindly sticky this thread and remove anything else Pick Em related be greatly appreciated. And thanks once again for your help gentlemen.

I used the Zh- transliteration of the Cyrillic Ж in Janibeks name because that's how Boxrec have it, but if you go to his socials and stuff it's transliterated J- so I figure either works.

Looks like the Kazakhs are transitioning from Cryillic to a Latin alphabet anyway and in more modern transliteration tables it seems like J- is the prefered offical option under the new scheme so I may start to use that going forward.

Remember when all the Belarusian Sergeis/ Sergeys sufdeenly became Siarheis overnight about 2013/14 or so?

Not that it matters, I just got one of those monkey minds that needs to know pointless shit like that..

I used to spell it Zh myself but then I noticed it’s generally spelt with a J on his socials, promotional material etc.

No idea what the correct spelling is tbh.
