No thanks. Not paying a dime for Tyson Fury's freak show, although I'm glad Ngannou is getting paid. Gonna be a stinker anyways, and the highlight reel will likely show every punch thrown because it's not going to be a long fight.Comment

"True boxing fan boycott" would equate to all of about 10 people not watching it(hyperbole but still).
The reality is the majority of the money comes from casuals and they're lapping up the "hardest puncher in history" narrative and most likely want to see Fury KO'd after his behaviour of late.
In truth this probably works in Furys favour as he seems to thrive under intense criticism/pressure and if he's positioned as a heel rather than a hero going into the Usyk fight I think that'll be to his benefit as well.
The engagement across social media on their absolutely horrendous promo only goes to show how much that casuals lap this shít up.Comment

Your conspiracy theory doesn't make sense, Team Usyk has no motivation to help Fury like this.Comment

$79.99 = 12000 yen would've gotten me the Arena Stand seats plus a train ticket and change from my Japanese home to the Venue for last week's Shigeoka brothers double title bout.
Or, it will pay for the cheapest tickets for the Takuma Inoue fight in Japan.
Yay conversion rate being great for someone like me who gets paid in USD but works in Japan half the year.Comment

I won $100 on a Shigeoka bros parlay. Any word on if Ioka/Estrada is being finalized for 12/31?

Only rumor mill is still brewing, but the New Year Eve party for Ioka usually is a good opponent and the recent trend has a lot of unification fights expecially in the lower weights so I'm still hopeful. If anything I want the official word for the Dec 26th Inoue fight just to see how scary the lottery will be. Rumor says Fulton fight had 200k lottery entry for 15000 seat venue Ariake Arena.Comment
