What Are Some ****** "Selling Points" For Hyping A Fight?

Honestly to me the ******est one is "they throw over a thousand punches a fight!"

It was used for Fonfora vs i forgot who

And again for panty Cruz against stank.

Like as an actual boxing fan how is that even enticing?

Yeah theses guys throw over a thousand punches, that tells me they have shlt accuracy, can't crack a danm egg or both.

    What do you guys think?

Undefeated VS Undefeated doesn't really mean all that much, unless both guys have competed consistently and recently at the top level and have looked VERY good doing so.

Personally I believe any fight that is hyped PRIOR about the fight money they will get is a ****** selling point.
After the fight, announcing there were XXX many PPV and whatever gate entrance and therefore each side got how much is fine...but that Fury could potentially gain 100 mil or whatever for fighting Usyk doesn't sell the fight to me, but the potential that Fury FINALLY gets off his ass to fight for the undisputed of HW with Usyk is what sells the fight for me.

I mean, I wasn't excited for the Fulton-Inoue match because Fulton was going to get whatever millions for the fight, but because I wanted to see how Inoue does against the top ranked guy of the next weight class on his first match. I'm also not excited for the soon-to-be Inoue-Tapales match on wondering how much money both sides will get either, I'm excited on the aspect of seeing another undisputed winner on a weight class that doesn't have one.

For the most part, outside the select few personal favorite fighters I'm not that interested in a fight that doesn't involve any belt potentially moving.

Depends on who your opponent is, or the nature of how the matchup is perceived.

It it's a tuneup or a fight to keep you busy, you don't belittle the opponent like, "It's tailor-made for me." Promote is what it says it is, promote not only yourself but your opponent. Tell the audience his strong qualities, etc. Otherwise, why expect fans to see it when they already know the outcome? If it's an intense rivalry or you just naturally don't like the guy in front of you, then say whatever you want, talk trash, denigrate his skills, style, you name it.
