If they do do this in dec 2023 will be the best year of boxing in a long time.

Casimero next. Shut those youtube hoes up once in for all.

Off topic but have y'all heard the latest excuse? Inoue supposedly walks around at 140 and has been fight well below his natural weight class. So he's been cutting all the way down to 108 from 140 and has been steadily moving up to 122. lmao

Well being fair I doubt his walk weight was no where near 140 when he was fighting at 108 or 115 even for that matter lol. That being said he looks awfully damn healthy and strong right now for a guy having to cut 18 pounds each fight but whether he can even be stronger at 126 that will be quite interesting to see.

Casimero's gotta be a guarantee after Tapales. He's not going to sign with a promotion company owned by a Japanese former champion and come to fight a non-title match in Japan just for giggles, everyone knows this is intended to be an introduction of Casimero to casual Japanese boxing fans, and showing his eagerness to come fight Inoue in Japan (granted the money alone will make Casimero more than willing to fly anywhere I'm sure).

I guess a slight chance is also Saitama Super Arena (22500 capacity, where the two Donaire matches were held at).

Quickly googling, the tickets for the July 25th Inoue-Fulton match started its first round of ticket pre-order lottery sales on May 12th, about 10 weeks prior to the actual match, so assuming it will be around early~mid-December it might be announced within the next week or two.

On a random note, next Thursday at Ariake is Casimero vs Oguni at the same venue, but the price for the most expensive ring side is like less than a quarter of the Inoue match (50k yen compared to 220k yen).
Inoue/Fulton had to fall on a weekday too. This one might have the same issue. Especially in December.

Meanwhile it's Cassimero who got stripped for missing weight

I hadn't realized he signed with a Japanese promotion. So he's not with that ****smoker Sean Gibbons anymore?

I'm actually still bummed at the fact that Casimero just had to be stripped of his belt essentially one match prior to what would've been an undisputed match against Inoue later than year. Inoue-Butler was destined to happen because of the belts, but it was quite boring (not to the fault of Inoue, but still) to say bluntly. Like him personally or not, an Inoue-Casimero fighting for undisputed would've been sooo much more meaningful and likely entertaining.

And now it will be undisputed Inoue vs no-belt Casimero...which isn't as meaningful.

Gibbons is such a stain of a human being. I'm not sure I rate Casimero. Lots of gaping holes in his game.

From wikipedia..."Casimero officially signed a contract under Treasure Boxing Promotion with the Japanese startup led by former world champion and CEO Masayuki Ito on February of 2023. John Riel Casimero made a successful homecoming, dethroning Namibian's Fillipus Nghitumbwa via a unanimous decision win to claim the WBO Global super bantamweight title at the Okada Manila in Paranaque City on May 13, 2023.

John Riel Casimero will make his debut in Japan by taking on former IBF super bantamweight champion Yukinori Oguni will be set on October 12, 2023, at the Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan."

It is all an assumption, but my guts says that Casimero signing a three-match deal with a relatively new promotion company (but operated by a former Japanese champion) at this timing of his career, then after fighting in his homecoming (match 1), agreed to fight as the main bout in Tokyo next week against a Japanese boxer (match 2), gives me this feeling of a spring time match with Inoue for match 3...

Gaping holes yes, but given the history between Inoue and Casimero, it is a worthy match just so fans can see Inoue shut up Casimero and his fans after 4 years waiting (damn COVID cancellation of the April 2020 match).

Actually it was Fultons fans that were saying that. I suspect it's to both discredit his win over Fulton and so they can justify saying he's ducking tank since they're in the same division.
