Canelo shouldn’t move up to 175 until there’s an undisputed champ. Canelo vs the Beterbiev/Bivol winner is one of the best fights that can be made in boxing.

Canelo (or Callum Smith) beating Beterbiev is the most likely way to get a unification. The former because he's the cash cow and would stand the best chance of getting the WBC and Arum to make the fight, and if he actually wants the rematch at 175, he needs the belts that Bivol wants.

The latter because he's also promoted by Bivol's promoter, and Fast Eddie would LOVE to get to have an in-house fight for undisputed, whatever the WBC says.

Bivol v Beterbiev isn't going to happen this year, or likely next.

Much easier style than Bivol for Canelo. If Canelo will ever fight again at 175, Beterbiev is easier path. Also, he has 3 belts.

He would have a better chance of beating berteviev than bivol, but he should take care of his own division.
I wouldn't call it an easier fight, just a better chance.
