    I believe he was.

Didnt Joshua fight twice in Saudi already?

Didnt team Wilder confirm the same story?

In my eyes Team Fury demanded Joshua vs Wilder to be cancelled as a condition to accept the Usyk bout. It would take away some of the hype of the fight and elevate Joshua's status.
Hearniacs literally resorting to making **** up now.

That isn't even remotely close to what actually happened.

Hearn was working on staging AJ vs Wilder with Skills challenge Promotions, the Saudi outfit who funded AJ vs Ruiz 2 and AJ vs Usyk 2, and who would have funded an undisputed fight between Fury and AJ, if the litigation with Wilder hadn't scuppered it.

That wasn't BS. Wilder's team also verified that these negotiations were taking place and said they were optimistic that the fight with AJ would happen.

But, at some point, somebody higher up the Saudi food chain than the people Eddie was working with decided that the next big boxing events in S.A. were going to be Fury vs Ngannou followed by Fury vs Usyk, during the Riydh Season, not AJ vs Wilder.
It has been known for almost a year now that Turki is the name of the guy in Saudi and that Skills Challenge is out. When Warren told us that Skills Challenge offer for Fury vs. Usyk didn't come because "the stadium won't be ready" in Feb. 2023, everyone knew what it meant. Warren moved on and tried to make the fight himself at Wembley and then went to negotiate with the actual people rather than the middle men. Hearn too knew he was talking to a middle man and that those guys are not so relevant now.

The thing is Hearn still kept telling us that is on, the deal is done, the date is almost ready, I am meeting with the Saudis, etc. when he too knew that things are off. Yet, he kept selling that BS story so people won't question why he chose to fight the LOSER of Whyte vs Franklin and why he fought Helenius and couldn't get him out in the first 3 rounds. Even the Saudi's boxing guy...Amer Abdullah...said that it is only a possibility and that if/when negotiations start, it would be swift and announced. He never mentioned once that it is a done deal but that it was a mere idea and they are just looking if the parties are interested, etc. It was Eddie who kept telling us it is a done deal and that fight is on when in fact it was not on and no deal had been signed.

Eddie certainly used some initial conversations to lie to us that this was some sort of done deal.

Imagine getting so emotional over boxing promoters. By all means call them out on their BS, but doing it in the context of thinking it means your guy is "winning" is silly. I'm old enough to remember the WBU title crap Warren served in the early 2000s. Thankfully it didn't last the way the WBO did, or we'd be looking at a five or six belt era. Although some of you would probably like that: "derrr look at the shiny belts".

Maybe it has nothing to do with Eddie Hearn. Maybe the Saudis just don't like Wilder.
And maybe his manager Shirley Finkel just don't provide any good vibes.
They probably see them as opportunists.

It meant that Warren was lying.

When the Skills Challenge spokesman told us that the fight didn't happen because one guy had asked for money than the event would generate for both guys, we knew that Fury had priced himself out.

Neither you nor anybody in the boxing media had even heard the name "Turki" till Fury vs Ngannou was announced a couple of months ago.

Leave him to his emotional rant. I frequently take breaks from boxing forums, YouTube comment sections, etc. but whenever I return the conversation hasn't moved on. "Eddie on suicide watch", "I thought PPV was dead", AJ-Wilder, etc.

The best fight in boxing is on. Who cares what it means for Hearn?

You mean randos on the internet don't have inside knowledge about state functions in Saudi Arabia? Next you'll be telling me they're not all expert contract negotiators with insider knowledge.
