Problem is he waited longer than he shouldve of in first place. Now's he's waiting again? So it's difficult one depending what Joyce's aims are

Joyce is out of title contention, not his career. Chisora, Price, Arreola, and Helenius have proven that you can still make a good living as a heavyweight contender.

        Typically I'd say no. But he's 38. So...yes.

These guys are always one good win away to become a viable opponent.

It depends. If he is looking to try for a title, then yes. He would need to win 3-4 fights and wait until mandatories are finalized before he would even get a shot. That puts him at 41-42 years old. Unless by some miracle, he ended up as a last minute replacement like Ruiz did against AJ, he is not getting another shot.

If he wants to just have a career and be a gatekeeper and fight undercards, then no. He can still make a living off of doing that.

He'll have to stay away from punchers anyway

That's true. And look, he remains solid top 10 in a sound division, and his blasting of (just got a title shot) Dubois and (best of Joshua's title defenses) Parker still hold great meaning as recent wins.

Joyce has chops. The problem in his last two outings wasn't Joyce. It was Zhilei Zhang!

I saw it coming and posted a warning about it. Whoever didn't, including Joe's staff; well that's on them.

in this division? I know girls scouts who are lining up title shots!

There is a place for fighters that were exposed... Joyce has to be ready to keep fighting though. This was not an easy loss for him, reminds me of the Polish kid Helanius spanked.

He's appears overprotective of his right eye and rightfully so. If he can't let his hands go, he might as well retire.
