Was watching Hopkins-Pavlik the other night. Is it just me or has anyone noticed how Hopkins' style is strikingly similar to Roy Jones' old style these days?

Keep telling you guys ... Hopkins is experiencing a second wind.

Even though he is in a physical decline, mentally he is in incline.

Reminds me of the numerous martial arts movies - the wise old men eh?

      He's only just getting better.

Hopkins' second wind came after the Taylor fights. At this point, time is very much against him.

hopkins fought the only way he was going too make it close in the 1st fight, joe c struggled with his negativity and clinching, impossible too look good against that, horrible fight too watch.

I thought Hokins deserved the original and he looked fitter against Pavlik so I guess I'd favour him to pull off a close, ugly win

I'd have been interested to see what gameplan Naazim would have had...he mentions at 1.50 that he has some secret strategies ready if Calzaghe were to have taken the rematch

Yeah I don't think Roach brought the best out of Bhop. Look at the two fights with roach compared to the 2 fights with ****m.

Roach had the wrong game plan.

He wanted Hopkins to retire after the Calzaghe.

                    Did he retire, nope!

Took out a 26 year old, just to show that he still is the grand master.

With age your physically abilities decline, however as a positive you grow wiser as in Hopkins.

If we are talking about a Calzaghe that never retired than I would bet on Calzaghe. He would just throw more punches and beat Hopkins. At times when I watched Hopkins/Calzaghe, Hopkins actually looked tired which was a first for me.
