At least Ngannou brings some mystery to the fight. A pure Boxer who quickly learned enough Wrestling, BJJ and Kickboxing to swallow MMA whole; Ngannou can punch.
Lol. He was a quick learner but you're overstating it a bit, hes no Jon Jones or Brock in that regard. He had been fighting in MMA professionally for almost a decade before he won the belt, and had a failed title shot years before that largely due to his takedown defence not being good enough at the time.

I do agree he has a slight punchers chance though. People are maybe underestimating him a little. I dont think hes all that far behind Dillian Shyte in actual boxing skill while having more power, a more intact chin and being a bigger more athletic guy. I reckon he'll at least give a better account of himself than Shyte did.

As for Usyk, again, agreed that on paper it doesnt seem like he has much for Fury, but then Fury seems to think otherwise. And at the end of the day, lets just get those ****ing belts unified. Beating Ngannou does nothing for Furys legacy.

Just wait. 30 seconds into the fight it will be clear that Ngannou is no boxer.

In my opinion boxing fans are split into 2 categories, First being the 90% I call them casuals who turn up for big nights and actually think Jake Paul is a boxer. The other 10% are real fans, people like us debating boxing on forums and elsewhere and tune in to watch the amateurs with as much passion. Whilst I agree if it was a script Tyson should have no problem at all but people are not allowing the factor that Ngannou is a successful MMA fighter so a combat fighter whose wins have come via punches. He didn't learn the fundamentals of the sweet science he learnt MMA boxing so will be swinging from angles and at times Tyson will not be used too. Everyone likes to remember an ATG having such an easy night with McGregor but I remember it took Floyd 4 rounds just to work McGregor out and if Tyson takes that long that's 12 minutes for Francis to land a life changing shot. I have seen it in the gym MMA fighters swarming boxers in sparring and giving it to them for a few rounds.

It did take rounds for Mayweather... but really because time was on his side. A boxer doesn't need to do things early against an MMA fighter. You know they can't go 12 - they've spent their whole life training for a sport that doesn't require it.

Plus Mayweather knew that McGregor couldn't hurt him. Remember that McGregor was known for his punching... Mayweather was the defensive boxer. Yet when they boxed it was McGregor that couldn't do damage, and Mayweather who could hurt.

Ngannou will throw punches from weird positions, but that's because he's not a boxer. He won't land many and he won't cause much damage.

There's always a chance with big men. But it's so slim.

Real boxing fans knew Mell wasnt gonna do sh.it especially after being out for 1.5 years and moving up 2 weight classes.

Fury/Ngannou will sell more, imo. Im thinking 800k
