Spot on. The sanctioning bodies and their fake mandatory lists, fake belts and broken rules are cannibalizing the sport.

So they've effectively just turned their championship belt into a "Franchise" belt.

Championship belts come with obligations. Off the top of my head you're supposed to defend every 6 months against top 10 or 15 contenders and face a mandatory every 12 months.

Suleiman now says it would do a disservice to the sport if they actually followed their own rules.

This means Fury has zero obligations now. And we know what he'll do when he doesn't have any obligations - he'll do whatever he wants.

Maruricio Sulaiman doesn't care about best or P4P or championships. Mauricio positioned the WBC belt to appeal to highest earners like Canelo and Fury, and as long as they pay they can do whatever they choose without consequence. The fees are massive but still a bargain compared to the fees Usyk pays to the other three sanctioning bodies.

Cool,if that's the case, the wbc belt shouldn't be treated as a legitimate belt, and Usyk is the undisputed heavyweight champ.

us boxing fans are powerless as long as casuals keep buying these circus sideshows. It's up to boxers, former boxers and boxing writers to call out this bull****.

Deontay Wilder and Andy Ruiz were supposed to fight to determine the #1 challenger to Fury.

They weren’t interested. If they themselves don’t want it then the WBC is right to not push a mando at this time, to leave Fury available for a possible Usyk unification.

                      WBC is trash.

Their 160 champ has been inactive for 2 years.
Their 168 champ is fighting 154 guy.
Their hw champ is fighting UFC guy.

                      They are garbage.
