It didn’t apply to Tyson Fury when he fought Wilder. And it obviously didn’t apply to Jeff Horn when not only was Spence begging him for a fight but the PBC literally had his face plastered up on the screen for one their shows as a recognized welterweight champion but later pretended like Terence Crawford didn’t exist after he beat Jeff Horn and took his belt. If you don’t think PBC deserves all of the blame for the shenanigans in the welterweight division then you just don’t care about the truth and only want to promote PBC.
Im sure he proved his negotiation skills were awesome as he went and backdoored a deal while negotiating for the Spence fight. And fighting his usual level of comp like Avenyasan.
If you were listening Bob Arum spoke on this. That he thinks he should get paid this or that and how no one was paying for it. How he would lose money. It was Spence that had to give him all these tit for tat demands he wanted to stroke his ego and make the fight happen. Otherwise Crawford said himself he would retire.
These are facts. Crawfords dominant win vs Spence does not change them. That's the consensus on these forums. " See that's why PBC stayed away from Crawford ". No it was the same reason his promoter disowned him. Outside of him wanting too much money for a fight that wouldn't do the #s to justify it, and the rivalry between PBC and Top Rank, he didn't want those fights.
And he showed you how much he wanted them by signing to fight Avenyasan as a free agent. Fighting the same fights he was criticized for at Top Rank without being signed to Top Rank. Everyone's drinking the Kool aid. I'm good on this topic though. Just know Garcia or Thurman were not afraid to fight Crawford. They both fought more top 147 lb fighters than he has.

To be fair, Thurman certainly would've done better than Spence did, against Crawford.
I'm not saying he'd beat Crawford, just saying with his style, would've been somewhat more competitive. He should fight Ennis, that's a good fight, although Boots would be too much.

He sounds like a true pain to negotiate with. Which is why he was disowned by his own promoter that made him millions for fighting said mediocre comp.
