I don’t know. I think Usyk was full of games here and Usyk outplayed Fury off the park if anything.
He’s managed to convince the majority that he actually would take that fight for 70/30 when there’s literally no way he would. He’d already said no to 60/40, yet now all of a sudden via instagram he’ll do 70/30? No chance.
Fury said the 70/30 and Usyk called the bluff perfectly. Where I get lost is how Usyk walking away from the table when offered a reasonable solution to the rematch clause issue is somehow Fury’s fault and not his. That part I don’t get.
Fury didn’t change anything from what I can see. They offered 60/40 that was rejected. (Fight was dead from there) Then they came to the agreement for the bogus 70/30, then Usyk had an issue with the rematch clause so Fury offered the compromise of getting rid of it altogether which Usyk then said no to.
Usyk had zero intention of fighting in the UK. I can’t see how that can be looked at any other way. If he did, he’d have accepted 60/40.
It’s neither here nor there really, both were playing games and neither wanted the fight for the money they’d receive. Seems Usyk won the media back and forth, how, I’m not quite sure but clearly he did.
I think it probably happens in Saudi. When is another question though.
