I'm not "for" either fighter, I'm for the rules, which means it was clearly a low blow and there's no valid argument otherwise. People are just used to refs allowing work in that area because so many fighters wear their trunks too high. Usyk's belly button was visible at times in the fight (contrary to the story that people have come up with that he pulled them up after the fight was over).

Hey, I personally agree it was a low blow from the videos I've seen. It was on the belt, but below the belly button. Some people will screen cap a specific angle to make it look higher, but watching it in real time or slow motion in entirely, you can see it was low.

If there was no such thing as video replay, I would certainly be upset and feel it could have been a clean shot because it happens quick and hard to tell in real time in the moment. I just think haters wish the replay wasn't out there and can continue to argue that Usyk should have lost by KO on that.

I don't watch either of these fighters although I have seen Usyk twice before I haven't seen any of Debois's fights. This was a good body shot on the belt line which was high to begin with. Also someone said the ref didn't have a good angle but he actually did so either he made a bad call or protected Usyk. It would be interesting to see the indications he gave just before the fight starts

legal or not, the shot was nowhere near the balls, yet Usyk writhed in pain like it was a nut shot. Very similar to how soccer players fall down and writhe in pain like they've been shot from a minor collision. Poor sportsmanship displayed by Usyk

It was low as ref said it was.But if it landed 2 inches higher it would've knocked him down too, so it's an official knockdown imo

It came out wrong. Where ever that punch would have landed, usyk s on canvas. But it's not an official knockdown. So usyk is glad it landed low

And by the way, [Usyk] was very clever after the fight - he pulls his shorts down to show where his shorts are, which was about that far below the belly button [several inches] - which in the fight it wasn't, it was probably on the belly button.

no, haven’t noticed that. What’s always bothered me is how they’ll milk one interview into 15 different articles/stories

Keep an eye on it, a quote will air, then later on they'll include it in another article weeks or months later like it happened at that time.
