I heard that Eubank insinuated Smith was cheating on his wife. Smith turned bright red which pretty much confirms he did. Being annoyed, he made his retort about Junior's sexuality. Both were blows below the belt and if Luis Pabon was refereeing the press conference they could have make-believe writhed on the floor together until he told them it was time to fight.

Smith was fuming the whole week and I believe it was that intensity that helped him win the fight. Apologising like this is deflating that intensity which must in some way detract from his chances ....... unless they go at it again all over again. Smith can get the ball rolling by presenting Eubank with a new rainbow armband for his collection.
