Mendoza has been beaten by a guy with 8 fights, his resume is weak and a lot is riding on the Fundora win which was landing one punch.

Bit of a random match up seeing as Mendoza wasn't ranked by the WBO and is interim champ with the WBC but not mad at it. Thought josh Kelly might of got the shot him being number 2 with the WBO but mendoza coming off a good win against a top contender but think Tzyu beats him pretty comfortably but mendoza probably has secured a pretty good pay day here for himself

I mean it's probably still the biggest purse he's got so far. He wouldn't of got paid that against fundora but yeah you don't turn down world title shots and a career high pay day

It's precisely because he has the WBC interim belt that he isn't ranked by the WBO, IBF, or WBA. The big 4 don't rank each other's world titlists and that includes interim titlists.

Tim Tszyu is making good use of 2023 while Charlo waits for his hand to heal. I heard the surgery planned for 30th Sep.

He is an ordinary fighter that's the point, since then he lost to Ramos, beat a guy with 7 loses out of 15 and a guy with 3 losses and Fundora with a lucky punch, Tims team knows how to pick them.

Gotta give it to Tszyu. Man is staying active taking on the most notable fight available to him. Mendoza has been hot as of late, but other than Rosario, who had the same 15 minutes of fame that Mendoza is probably on with his recent upsets, and the last couple shots he put Fundora down with, he was getting whacked around and handled until he landed them. Regardless, this should be an entertaining fight while it lasts.

Did Brian have Salas in his corner for that fight?
