    Seriously.

That isn't a thirst for acclaim. That is a straight paper chase.

Shane said he wanted the winner of Pac/Hatton. He won't fight Hatton now. Shane was willing to fight Clottey in Dec. Clottey aint big money fight. He is willing to fight Berto in Jan. Berto is not a big money fight. The only fighter Shane is not willing to fight right now is Paul Williams. But, I do think if Shane fights and beats Pac/Mayweather. You will see Shane against Paul Williams.

Shane was only willing to take Clottey and/or Berto when all other options evaporated. He plainly said that he wanted the biggest money fights. He did not say he wanted the biggest challenges.

Shane said he was willing to go to 140 to face Pacquiao. Seriously, now?

I agree. But, still he was willing to fight Clottey who is a big threat and not big money in Dec. He could of tried to pick on a lesser opponent who was not a threat like Joshua. But, when it was obvious he couldn't get the big money. He was willing to take on Joshua. If Mayweather/Mosley can't be made he is willing to fight Berto on Jan 30. Who is a top 5 top 10 WW. He has HBO dates he could fighte lesser fighters and just wait for Pac and Floyd. But, he is not doing that. He is willing to fight top 5 WW. The only one he is not willing to fight right now is Paul Williams. I don't think he should get passed for it. He should of fought him in the summer. But, if he stays true to his word that after he fights Pac/Mayweather. If he gets the opportunity that is. He will fight Williams. Then I won't have a problem

                Shane is upset.

He has financial problems. He is near the end of his career, and was just hurt badly in a divorce by a woman who is a lot smarter and more ambitious than he is. So now, he is desperately looking for - in his words - the "big money fights"

Mosley made about $2 million this year fighting what people perceived as a dangeous opponent, and Mayweather makes $15 million against an 'easy' opponent. That stings. And SM knows: if he can't get PBF or MP into a ring, he won't get a big check. Because he can't generate that on his own.

That is what has Shane upset. He is working on pure hypocrisy. The same guy who was badmouthing Numero Uno was willing to fight either Pac or Hatton. When Shane was at 154, Pac was at 126. Even as an amateir, SM was at 132.

If the pac-cotto fight or any boxing match for that matter ends up in a bust, isn't that bad for the sport of boxing itself?

Yeah, that was said already in this thread. By me, and by many other people.

You've added nothing new. Except an emoticon.

You not bringing anything new to the argument. Everybody know about Shane divorce. That's nothing new. Shane was right when he said thet no more than 3,000 tickets was sold for the original numero uno date. But, that is beyond to the point that if Shane can't get Pac/Mayweather. He is get in the ring with Clottey/Berto or even Cotto. After Hatton lossed to Pac. He could of went out and called Hatton out. But, he didn't cuz even after a loss to Pac. Hatton sill brings pretty good money on the table. But, it does nothing for legacy. True a fight with Mayweather/Pac brings huge money. But, with a victory it will add to his legacy. He wants the big money. But, he wants the big money that also brings legacy. He won't take a big money fight that does nothing to his legacy. That is why when he didn't get Pac/Mayweather. He was going to fight Clottey the most dangerous fighter at WW who was available. When the fight didn't go thru. He chose the next available option in Berto. A top 5 WW. I don't understand the whole dissing Shane cuz he is willing to fight the top fighters. The only top fighter he won't fight right now is Paul Williams. That is only thing I hold against him is not facing Paul Williams. Anything else, IMO is just Floyd nuthuggers trying to make a ****** argument on why Floyd shouldn't fight Mosley.
