Where are you departing from, and what did you pay for the ticket of the fight and section?

    Peace.

Its been said before and I'm starting to think its true that the economy doesn't effect boxing in a negative way. In fact some say its the contrary. It allows fans to come back to the sport. If pac Cotto does numbers like Floyd JMM then this may be boxing's chance to get back in the light. Once boxing gets the ball though it needs to run with it.

The money generated from Pac/Cotto will be MUCH greater than Mayweathers last fight. Haymon you see like an alright lad but it really doesn't mean **** especially when the fights 6 weeks away, the economy, and other things. Boxing is doing fine and this fight will do great.
            This thread SHOULD be Mayweather-free.

Those are two shaky limbs to go out on. If you look at the Dlh-Pac sales, that fight did around 14,300. So, you would be saying that Pac-Cotto would roughly match what he did with Dlh. I would envision that scenario only if they exploited price elasticity.

I'm not so sure that this fight does "MUCH" more than USD 60 Mn in revenues. Are you sure? I'd fancy a wager at over/under USD 65 Mn. You in?

For that $750, he can get TWO tickets.

Tell him to go to ticketcenter.om

LOL yeah you must be houdini or you payed a pretty penny. But a little known secret is that if you book a room at the MGM grand or Mandalay Bay or whatever venue the fight is being hosted at you can buy your tickets directly from them for a fraction of what the brokers are selling them for. Alot of people dont know that though.

Well, some fans cite the economy as the reason why the PPV sales were much lower during FMJ's absence. For example, Pac did half of what Floyd did with Oscar, and Pac did 100K+ less with Hatton than Floyd did.

                    So, opinions vary on that.

This fight, "Firepower", will be a referendum on Pacquiao's ability to sell an event. As well as a gauge of the consistency of the boxing fan.
