Floyd was mentioned 5 times. This wasn't even a Mayweather thread, sad.

Again, look at any of the links in OP. Ask M. Vester if Top Rank opened the entire arena, or closed off some sections.

Try to display a bit of objectivity. It won't kill you - I promise.

You are saying that MGM Grand has rooms. Thanks.

Now, go to any hotel consolidator, and get yourself a cheaper room.

Did you get such a date?

Side note: What section...and how much did you pay?
No they stated that “Upon completion of the order your tickets you ordered may not be available for immediate delivery. If this is the case you will be notified via e-mail with an estimated delivery date .”

So then, just to be sure I called and they said they will be mailing out tickets in October. Well it’s October, and no e-mail yet confirming when I will receive them. Maybe it’s just my pre-fight paranoia for not receiving these tickets yet or just anxiety that I won’t get them. Was just asking if anyone ever bought tickets for a fight through these online brokers and ever been through the same.

            Side Note:

            1) I paid $389.00 for 1 ticket (as I would be going alone) and be seated at the 203U section.

            2) I paid $489.00 for airfare and hotel from priceline.com (departing from Orlando FL with a quick stop to Atlanta and off to Las Vegas) and will be staying at the Stratosphere Hotel in Las Vegas.
I contemplated renting a car but someone told me it would be a bad idea, never been to Vegas so I don’t know.

            Thanks for the initial reply.

            Peace.

The PPV numbers are the most important thing here. I hope Arum promotes the hell out of this. I have a feeling he wont though.

....and Numero Uno tickets had a mean ticket price of $567.

What is concerning is that the hotels are packing. Yet. If the fight is five weeks away, wouldn't you have typically made reservations and locked your room down? Esp for the folks who would fly in?

Or am I just an ****-retentive planner?
Well my guess is that the majority of people who goto fights in vegas are vegas residents. Yes there will be many that travel from all over the country or world to the fight but you gotta believe the majority of the cheaper tickets (<=1000) are bought by vegas residents, who proably just went to go see thier home town favorite (PBF) fight last week.

Your right about the hotel sales situation, I just booked a flight for my GF to go Vegas the same weekends and had no problem finding a room. This fight is big, but its not a blockbuster like DLH vs PBF or Tyson vs Lewis. I remember for the DLH vs PBF fight 2 moths before the fight i decided to look for tickets and all I could find were 200-300 dollars tickets to watch the fight on ppv are various ballrooms and party halls. It was crazy, they even had limousines airing the fight whie riding around town and even those tickets were in the hundreds.

                    BY FAR.

The gate for this fight - even if it was selling great - wouldn't exceed USD 10 Mn.

But a stellar PPV of 1.0 to 1.2 Mn would mean USD 50 - 60 Mn.

The cables boxes are far moire important than the gate.
