I think this would do well in the UK. Sounds like Eddie is looking for excuses.

Not surprising you've got it backwards. The fighters who lost had huge disadvantages against them. Why, which fights do you think there was an advantage for them? I can't remember a single time.

Come on Eddie you're the world's best promoter. You've been promising this for most of this year. Clearly you're in discussions with Wilder so with or without the Saudis this fight can be made.

It's obviously a big fight but the Saudis have their own HW to promote now

In the build up to Whyte which later turned into Helenius, all the talk from Hearn was as if the Wilder fight was a done deal for December, AJ just has to beat Helenius and the fight will go ahead. I thought I'll wait to hear the rhetoric after the Helenius fight because this wouldn't be the first time that they're promising Wilder next to help promote the current fight.

The first bad sign was AJ refusing to answer the Wilder question in his post-fight interview, then Hearn's talking about 'we're trying to get the fight made for the first quarter of next year.' The fight already being signed for December hasn't come up since AJ beat Helenius.

Now it's, "the fight doesn't happen if the Saudis don't deliver.'

Yeah, I'm beginning to think that this isn't happening and Hearn fed a load of bull**** to people to help promote the Helenius fight.

both are post prime and shot.

                  Exactly!
After only 2 minutes in the ring in 22 months Wilder should make a fight with Franklin. If its good for the goose it's good for the gander.

This Saudi money waving bullshido has stalled the division like never before. I think they may have seen the half full arena & the boos & realised Eddie's selling them a dead duck.

That's about normal for decent rivalries.

Not many get made at both fighters' prime. Which tells you everything about Fury v Wilder 1... that got made precisely because they thought Fury was well past prime.
