Yeah, the fight with Mell won't add to the body of work that will get him into the Hall. The Benavides fight is what we all want to see. That's the one.

Benavidez has been calling Canelo out, but hasn't done anything to actually secure a title shot. All he's done is drop his title twice, and avoid two fights that might have gotten him a mandatory shot. .

Except the WBC title is the second most recently defended, putting it after the WBA and IBF, and is with the organization LEAST likely to enforce its mandatory obligations. They literally have a clause that permits their champion to defer mandatories by paying a fee.

That Plant fight could have been vs Ryder instead to take his WBO spot. Or he could have petitioned the IBF to make it a title eliminator. Those are the only two organizations that actually reliably enforce their title shots.

Not sure why you persist in failing to understand how it works. Benavidez isn't going to be due a title shot for a long time, if ever. If he wants one, the WBC isn't the organization to do it with.

Its ok for Canelo to jump from 160 to 175(15 pounds) to fight Kovalev, but not Charlo who is taller and longer than Canelo. 154 to 168(14 pound jump).

Canelo is the same height as Teo, Devin, Shakur shorter than Ryan Garcia.

Nothing you wrote here responds to the points I made in my post. You claimed Benavidez did nothing to earn the shot and I explained why that claim is laughable. He fought the best fight in the division available, yet you seem to think he needs to be becoming mandatory in every sanctioning body which is laughable and probably never happened before.
