I've said the same thing. I've been on these boards for years and have witnessed the hoard of posters claiming he's ducking these same fighters he's mentioned. He's said this before. The guy fought GGG 3 times and no other top 160 lb fighters stepped up. But he's ducking everyone. Always someone new to surface. I'm sure if he beats Benavidez then he will be ducking a Bivol rematch or guys were even saying he was ducking Beterbiev for God sakes. Next he will be ducking Tyson Fury

But he IS actually ducking him because there is no excuse to be fighting the charlos before Benavidez. Its a literal confession. And this is where the hypocrisy of canelo fans gets exposed. Look at Canelo’s opponents over the last 8 years since the Cotto fight tell me what big wins any of those guys had? Canelo is constantly defended by his fans regardless of who he picks but when it comes to a real threat like Benavidez, they always go to the who have they beat argument. Yet Canelo hasn’t picked anyone with truly meaningful wins in nearly a decade.
